Our point of view

A landscape should
give something back.

The best gardens do more than look good. They feed people and pollinators. They cool a terrace, soften a workday, hold a memory, and make the seasons impossible to miss.

Abundant Earth brings edible planting together with enduring landscape design, creating outdoor environments that feel generous, grounded, and alive.

Roots & renewal

Growing forward,
rooted in memory.

Cultivating food is one of humanity’s oldest ways of knowing a place. Bringing it back into city life creates room for movement, attention, nourishment, seasonal rhythm, and a closer relationship with the living world.

01 / A living cycle

Fish, plants, one system.

Aquaponics pairs fish and plants in recirculating water. Beneficial bacteria make nutrients from fish waste available to plants; the plants help clean the water before it returns to the fish. It is a modern closed-loop approach informed by a long history of integrated fish-and-crop farming.

02 / A human practice

More nature in everyday life.

Growing and tending a garden can support well-being while reconnecting us with skills practiced across generations. In an urban space, even a small harvest can restore a direct connection among soil, water, food, and season.

03 / Stewardship

Care begins with remembering.

We garden in Lenapehoking, homeland of the Lenape people, and recognize their continuing relationship with this land. We also honor agricultural knowledge and foodways carried and sustained by African and African American growers—traditions that have deeply shaped gardens and food culture in this country.
